Dioctyl adipate (DOA) is classified as an aliphatic plasticizer and is found in the form of a transparent oily liquid with a prolonged shelf life, low viscosity, and biodegradability. It has a low migration rate, making it an ideal choice for various applications. DOA is insoluble in water and possesses high cold resistance. Additionally, it is capable of creating desired physical and mechanical modifications without altering the chemical structure of the polymer. As a result, DOA is widely regarded as one of the top substitutes for DOP as a plasticizer.
